PM Gets on with Business as Usual
UPDATE : 16 March 2010
Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva told reporters that he is continuing his duties as prime minister even though the red shirt protesters have not dispersed. Abhisit is on his way to Northern Thailand to investigate drought conditions.

The premier also reiterated to reporters one more time that he will not dissolve the House of Representatives . He said he is willing to sit down and discuss with the DAAD about their concerns. However, such discussions, he said, must take place without any conditions or ultimatums.

The prime minister also sent a message to the red shirt protesters, saying the government is willing to assist anyone who wants to go home but does not have the means. Abhisit said these protesters merely have to contact a government official and their return trip will be facilitated.

Prime Minister Abhisit also went on to say that he is confident that there is still a group of people who want to take advantage of the situation to create unrest. Security measures, therefore, are still on high alert.
